COURSEWORK
The Theory and Practice of Sustainability
During this project-based course, I learned of sustainability initiatives on campus and worked on improving sustainable programming in residence halls.
I spent time discussing many of the historical and modern hardships of farmworkers in the Southern United States during this seminar-style class.
Food, Agriculture, and the Environment: Law and Policy
I learned about many of the challenges faced by the agricultural industry alongside MEM, MBA, and Law students in this graduate-level course.
Building a Sustainable Tomorrow
During this capstone course, I completed an economic analysis of regenerative farming practices in temperate fruit orchard systems.

EXPERIENCES
Agricultural Research Intern
I spent the summer between my sophomore and junior years working on an entomological research team at a fruit research and extension center. My lab studied the efficacy of integrated pest management, a sustainable agricultural method, in controlling invasive insect populations.
Agronomist Intern
I spent the summer between my junior and senior years working for the US Department of Agriculture in Washington, DC. I assisted in the coordination and implementation of a nation-wide urban garden initiative under the Secretary of Agriculture.
