Building a Sustainable Tomorrow

I took ENVIRON 495 with Dr. Charlotte Clark during the Spring 2023 semester to complete the capstone requirement for this course. Course content covered career development in the field of sustainability and relevant skills development.

I worked with a 4-person group to complete a capstone project in this course based upon the following query.

 

We want to learn about the economics of large-scale regenerative agriculture in order to compare regenerative and traditional practices so that we can provide commercial orchard farmers in the US with the information they need to make informed decisions regarding sustainable farming practices.

 

During this capstone project, we performed a cost-benefit analysis of three different regenerative farming practices using data from the literature. I also performed three interviews with large-scale orchard farmers to address current implementation barriers. Please see our final research paper below.
