The Theory and Practice of Sustainability
I took the gateway course for this certificate, ENVIRON 245, with Dr. Charlotte Clark and Tavey Capps during the Spring 2022 semester. Course content ranged from corporate sustainability to efforts at Duke.
I worked within a 5-person project group to answer the following research question for Duke's Housing and Residence Life Office.

What current or planned dorm programming, when incorporated into undergraduate campus residential hall education efforts, will most effectively and broadly increase sustainability behavior?

I conducted interviews and observations to collect qualitative data for this project. In the attached project summary, you can see that our series of recommendations to Duke Housing are related to their new housing structure, QuadEx.
